What is Radiant Barrier?
Radiant Barrier is a reflective insulation that works by reflecting heat by transferring through thermal radiation, via conduction or convection with an air space.
What is Reflectivity and Emissivity?
Reflectivity is the effectiveness in reflecting radiant heat. Emissivity is the effectiveness in emitting energy as thermal radiant. The ratio varies from 0 to 1. The lower its emissivity, the higher its reflectivity generally.
What Do FR Refers to?
FR stands for Fire Retardant which a substance that inhibits or delays the flammability/spread of fire. It must comply with BS 476 Part 6 (Fire Propagation for Products) & Part 7 (Surface Spread of Flame of Products) specifications and categorized as Class ‘O’ in the classification.
